Mark your calendars. The WWE calendar has been shaken up a bit this year and that is going to be the case for a long time to come. It can be hard to keep track of when anything is going to be happening at any given time and that is even more the case in NXT. The promotion has not been trying to run Takeover specials with the major WWE shows, giving them their own schedule. Now we know their next show and it is a big one.

NXT has been a place where some older concepts are brought back after many years away, and that is the case with one of the biggest gimmick matches in wrestling history. While it is not exactly in its original form, NXT has resurrected WarGames and has now turned it into a regular event. It has been back for the last three years and now the event is making it to a fourth year.

This week on NXT, Takeover: WarGames 2020 was confirmed for Sunday December 6. The trailer for the show featured Shotzi Blackheart telling Candice LeRae to get an army because they are going to war. Nothing else has been officially announced for the card as of yet. This will be the fourth edition of the event and the Undisputed Era has been part of the men’s match in each previous incarnation.

This could be great. Check out the trailer for the show and the previous incarnations of the namesake match:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes a ton of sense and at the same time I can’t say I’m complaining. The match is something special that only NXT presents and it is the kind of thing that makes me want to see the spectacle. If nothing else they already have everything set up for the matches and a pair of WarGames matches will be more than enough to carry the card. Everything else should be more than enough to make the show that much better so hopefully it all lines up.

What do you think of the announcement? How do you see the card? Let us know in the comments below.
