You have options. The AEW World Title has gone from not existing just over a year ago to one of the more important titles in the wrestling world today. That is quite the feat to pull off and AEW has made it work as well as anyone else could in such a short time. The title feels valuable and it means something to get a shot at it. Now we know the group of people who might have such a chance.

Over the last year, AEW has only had two World Champions with Chris Jericho becoming the inaugural champion and then losing the title to Jon Moxley, who has held it for almost eight months. Moxley is going to need some new challengers in the future and that is going to be the case in the coming weeks, with someone new almost being guaranteed to get a shot in the near future.

This week on AEW Dynamite, the remaining entrants and brackets for a #1 contenders tournament were unveiled. The tournament will begin on the October 21 edition of Dynamite, with the finals taking place on November 7 at Full Gear. There is no word on when the title match will take place following Full Gear. Here are the tournament’s brackets:

Penta El Cero M
Rey Fenix

Kenny Omega
Joey Janela

Colt Cabana
Hangman Page

Wardlow
Jungle Boy

There are some big names in there. Check out who might become the new #1 contender:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that should work out just fine for everyone involved. A tournament is a good way to set up a #1 contender, but the fact that there are so many potential winners makes this even better. I could see a lot of people walking away with the win at Full Gear and that’s one of the best things that you can say about a tournament. It could go a lot of ways and hopefully they live up to the hype.
